The American Eskimo Dog is from origin out of the US. The dog's name and image doesn't look like an American dog. It is a small to medium breed of dog of the Spitz Type, it is never used as a sled dog. The American Eskimo Dog has a white, furry coat and is a friendly but alert dog. The American Kennel Club (AKC) has three different size division for a dog of this size.
* Toy, 9 - 12 inches
* Miniature, 12 - 15 inches
* Standard, 15 - 19 inches
The AKC does not recognize the Toy version of a American Eskimo Dog but it sure is a beauty on the calendar!
